Noir (Sidlak Poetry)

What if we…..
If we just gave in?
Would our desires spell the end?
Will lust crumble everything we’ve built?

See below for where I got stumbled upon this.

*Sidlak poetry (sid/lak) is a structured poetry consisting of 5 lines with 3-5-7-9 syllables AND A COLOR. The last line must be a COLOR that describes the whole poem or the feelings of the writer. Life comes in different shades and hues. The colorful the merrier. Show us your true colors. Write your first sidlak now. LOVE QUIRKY

Ash (Sidlak Poetry)

Follow me.
Chords strum together.
I send them all on their way.
The ember catches the final shreds.

I’ve never heard of Sidlak before tonight. I enjoyed attempting to write something in that manner. The basic structure is a 3 – 5 – 7 – 9 – Color. It was fun; something new for me.  🙂  Thanks, Quirky.
